Fallout: 3

This game... is going to be so sweet...

I dont think I need to explain too much about the game, as it follows the same theme as the previous 2, post-neuclear-apocolyptic kind of game with mutated weirdo's with plasma guns and rocket launchers... with a funky 1950's america theme... ^_^ If anyone reading this has NOT yet played the follout games, I suggest you get down to the closest PC game store and grab a copy of 1 and/or 2. If the shop do not have it, blow the shop up.



Seriously... This may look a little similar to games already out there, but this is the godfather of all of them (in respect to the zombie pic looking like a gears of war similar game or spin off resident evil/doom). Funnily enough, not all the zombie things will be hostile, and many retain human speach and sentience. (They are basically the unlucky victims of nuclear radiation... Some eat brains)

Whooo i love the fallout series and will be looking forward to spending my action points wisely in some lovely combat ... OH WAIT i cant because action points got the bum rush and its now replaced by either strait out fps or VATS (Valt Assisted Targeting System) Which is similar to the old aimed shot feature in the original game





Some of the good ol things in the new game come from the old The Brother Hood of Steel will be making an apperance as there are a splinter organisation trying to iradicate the super mutant presence here.

Also from the look of Superj's screen shot link the good ol crit= super bloodie death is still there fingers crossed for the blood mess perk ( which ment every time you killed someone they died in the super gory way)

Hopfuly this will be a great game but also as you can see the tangent that this game vears off from the first 2 allot of the hardcore fan boys (me inculded a bit) dont like all this change such as non isomentric veiw but hopfuly it will be a great game

That vid is of a pre-alpha testing where lighting, HUE, HUD and texturing was incomplete. Hope that what you say about the action points system isnt true, because i think the retro style was coooool. But anyway, It looks sweet, Oblivion was based around Baldurs gate style games, and they kind of got the feel across if not the content, and if they do the same with this game, im still going to be pleased, and with as much pressure on them to keep it close to the original, I cant see to much disappointment.

And Obex, lend me your old PC gamer backdates with the sexy articles in, i temp trade u for new scientist magazine?

I pwn so hard that I dnt need the "Bloody Mess" perk to make heads explode like "musk watermelons" =P
